also they can feel different things than their host right?
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:13 PM
Fictional experience that tulpa had in fictional space and fictional time can be utterly different than host's experience.
Avatar
for example one is bored and the other isnt
1:14 PM
why cant we discuss each others tulpa lore I dont get it
1:14 PM
it would be fun

@rain - jump Tulpas that are not active, aren't affected by the current time either. But if you interact with them, there is a possibility of them feeling bored while you aren't, technically.

@rain - jump Why can't we? I thought we were doing it a few days ago.
Avatar
oh I dont remember

but idk it feels like youre asking me to have 2 versions of all my uhhh
1:16 PM
12 tulpas
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:16 PM
Why 2 versions of each?
Avatar
the ones I actually hang out with and the ones that have zero memories of the things that happened in their lives because "that happened in the wonderland"
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:19 PM
Umm... You don't have to assume that stuff in wonderland never happened.
1:21 PM
Regardless of that if you were interacting with them during that or it happened in fictional time, like in lore of character's past.
Avatar
heres the thing
1:21 PM
there is no "fictional time" in my system
1:21 PM
nor is there a "wonderland"
1:21 PM
theres only an inner world
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:22 PM
Isn't a wonderland an alias for just inner world?
1:22 PM
I thought it was a fictional place people create to hang out with their tulpas
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:23 PM
I think it is. A wonderland is a place in your imagination in general.
Avatar
yeah I dont really go to imaginary places with mine
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:23 PM
Aka mindscape/paracosm/inner world
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:24 PM
Inner world can have various topology. One can have a one world, others can have a few isolated places etc.
Avatar
and one can have none of that and literally take her tulpas for walks in her hometown
1:24 PM
:^)
1:25 PM
homecity rather
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:25 PM
Yeah, it's a kind of imposition I think. You can impose tulpas without visualizing them etc.
Avatar
I do imagine them in front of me
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:26 PM
My imagination is really poor when it comes to places. We simply don't care when we interact in our mind, usually.
Avatar
mine runs wild
1:26 PM
like really wild

Still, some people just believe that tulpa must be completely separated and you can't just control them consciously once they talked back. But ultimately, it's what you as a person slash stream of consciousness do.
Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 1:41 PM
What means consciously control them?
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:44 PM
What means consciously control them?
@Genry_the_frog - jump To puppet them.
Avatar
Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 1:47 PM
But why would you puppet your tulpa once they can do their job - being them - by themselves?
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:49 PM
If you lost contact for some reason, you can start puppeting again.
Avatar
Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 1:50 PM
Oh, you mean, give a little push to help them grasp control again?
Avatar
Reminder that like parroting, puppeting is the same mental action as a fully developed tulpa consciously controlling themselves
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:53 PM
Oh, you mean, give a little push to help them grasp control again?
@Genry_the_frog - jump In a sense, yeah. And as Raptoir said, essentially it's the same thing. When a tulpa thinks or you think, it's the same kind of action.
1:53 PM
I wonder, haven't achieving switching recently reminded you of puppeting?
Avatar
Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 1:57 PM
Oh no i just read your messages above. And i can tell when i am puppeting pretty precisely - Elfie really doesn't like when i drag her body around against her will, even if she is not present. Just checked. But that's not required for us - if she has problems with maintaining form, she just doesn't do that and uses mind voice So i asked why anybody would have to
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 1:59 PM
Sometimes people lose contact with their tulpas and it's a good idea to remind yourself of habits that led to achieving it before.

Well. I mean to any of you
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 2:00 PM
Did it ever happend to you?
@Genry_the_frog - jump Not really. We have had a few long term breaks from tulpamancy in the past but never had problems with regaining the contact.

Changing topic, What again was the way to get rid from intrusive thoughts? How ya do that? (edited)
Avatar
Sora Faux BOT 9/27/2022 2:13 PM
Classify that random thought you don't want to associate with yourself as an intrusive thought and not make a big deal out of it.

Has anyone experienced the problem of tulpa panic attacks? She has learned that tulpas live mostly 2-6 years and now she is afraid. I convince her that we are together forever. I try to pass on positive emotions to her. We cuddle. We watch funny anime. We decide not to work today. But none of this is working.

About the 2-6 years

How is that nonsense. People can be afraid and get paranoid why wouldn’t a tulpa

I think that fear is very common and normal. I don’t think there is anything you can do that you aren’t already doing

Also it’s not nonsense, in fact I’d say a lot of tulpas don’t make it to 1 year. People give up more often than not.

Just because there are a lot of old tulpas doesn’t mean anything. You can’t see all the ones that aren’t here anymore
Avatar
Judecca Faux BOT 9/27/2022 2:52 PM
Many people who leave community don't leave their tulpas though. I think when the tulpa is older than 6, they should be much more stable than tulpas living for less than 2 years.

Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 2:57 PM
I understand that, but thought about "usually no more than 2-6" still conflicts a lot in my mind, because 1) tulpamancy is way of living, and with no obvious negative parts in it, so why should one that gone so far as 2 years stop all of a sudden? What happens? 2) everywhere where i read about dissipation of old tulpas was stated that this is not an easy process and can be done mostly if both sides really want it
Avatar
tulpas can be phased out without it causing distress to the host

That number is probably more because of how new tulpas are as a phenomenon. Tulpas really only became a thing in 2012 - the oldest tulpas are around ten years old, and those were tulpas made right at the beginning of the whole movement.

I had 2 of them that I just no longer found fun to hang out with so we no longer hung out (edited)

they dont need to be "killed"

How many tulpas you have?
Avatar
about 10
3:00 PM
not all of them are as developed

Judecca Faux BOT 9/27/2022 3:00 PM
Tulpa can't be killed. They can go back to being OC... But it's also reversible.
Avatar
Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 3:00 PM
I'm not ever making more than 2.
Avatar
you think I made 10 on purpose? 😂
Avatar
"living" as in being conscious isn't related to tulpas. Tulpas (and hosts) are just ideas within consciousness - they can go away and come back without affecting life itself.

@Genry_the_frog - jump so Elfie is going to have a little sister?

technically you can kill a tulpa as it is a figment of your imagination

You will need to believe in that in order to whole thing to work, right? Wouldn't that lead to big mental damage

I basically fit in nowhere with this kind of system

yes
3:07 PM
also making a tulpa vanish into thin air causes a similar psychological reaction
3:08 PM
hence why my tulpas are designed to continue life in the background if we ever cut ties
Avatar
Genry_the_frog 9/27/2022 3:08 PM
Believing random things is not good. What was with that guy who came here because his tulpa left him after some reddit guy told her to... I wonder if he got her back (edited)
